Hello everyone, today I’d to talk about a new fanzine of CFG Anime & Manga Translation & Betrayals.

This fanzine says tips, reviews and fanarts of differents things about otaku culture, anime characters etc. written by students in FAU, although I don’t really like anime or otaku, I think this fanzine was really interesting and have a lot of work to realize it.

The section I liked a most, talk about the Insert Coin bar, because this place had a new concept of resto-bar, where the people can play videogames with food and enjoying with the names or food and drinks and had a good time with friends.

I think a good opportunity to create a CFG in English was about movies, because they have a wide range of information in English, the students could see movies in original language and make videos with scripts was written in CFG.

The future:

Hello everyone, today I get a crystal ball, this is I will be doing in 10 years’ time.

So, in 10 years I will have 30 years old, and Iwill be Architect and I think I have a master degree in social housing.

I will have bought a land outside the city, specifically in Puerto Varas to build a nice house for me and my family, I wish It was big enough to invite all of my friends in Santiago and to have many animals (dogs and horses) and grow a beautiful garden, in this house I would like to showed all of my memories (in photos), in the University with my friends, my travels in Europe and Latin America etc.

My occupation (and my dream), I think I will be an architecture teacher in University in the south of Chile and work in the urbanism of the city in the municipality of Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt, because this places needs urgently a territorial planning.

The changes I will have seen in me in 10 years, are very positives because I think I learn many things however respect to the nature, the changes will have altered all the cities and is the responsibility of the architects answer all this issues that have been, example the probabilities to live some new natural disasters or the climate changes has altered rain patterns or groundswell.

In the future I would like to contribute with the things I know, to teach others in the south of Chile and enjoy the life as such I have doing so far haha.

Hello everyone!
Today I’d to write about my long weekend, but first I liked to tell I did last week.

Since August 7th I was working in a “Workshop”, in this activity I design a new structure for the persa Biobío and was amazing experience!!, I met incredible people, from teachers of the university of Pennsylvania and students of fau and another universities with I never spoken before, but this project I didn’t sleep much, so in the weekend I just wanted to be in home.

To begin my Saturday and Sunday were a slow days, on Saturday I woke up very late, and went to the supermarket with my dad, later this I come to my house and watch the Olympics games, because I really like tennis, box, gymnastic etc.  After that I received visits to my home (parent’s friends) and we ate tacos together (and we saw the athletics tournament).

On Sunday, I stay in my house looking the Olympic Games (again ahah), this is the day I was enjoyed most, because I doing anything.

Finally in Monday (this is the most active day in the weekend haha) I went to the house of a university friend to work in “taller” with another 2 friends, and we worked hard and have and have a great time.

Hello everyone!!

Maybe a little late haha, but today I’d like talk about my favorite person in the world, and also I am very lucky, because this person is my grandpa, he is the dad of my mom, lives in Lagunitas (and area near Puerto Montt), is civil builder and his name is Evaldo Ulloa.

I wanted to write about him, because it is the most loving, hardworking and intelligent man who exist, as well as being a very good grandfather, he is an excellent dad, brother  and husband!

He lived with me until I was 18 and then chose to go to be with their brother in the south, but we always called and visited us, what I like to do with it, is going for walk, talk, drink mate and dance haha, that´s inevitable, whenever he visited me in Santiago or I when I go home.

How it was always been my second father, has always accompanied me in all, one of the funniest memories I have, is that when I was 5 years old, wanted a tree house, we built it together and then took advantage of playing cards or when I had my prom, my dad coudn’t go because he was very sick in the clinic (he was recovered a week later) it was he who accompanied me to vals. The most recent memory I have is when I had a construction test and the truth is that I knew almost nothing, so I called and asked everything I needed and in 27 minutes taught me everything I had learned and I took a 63!!!

¡I wish he can live for many years and continue to accompany me thay without him wouldn’t achive almost anything!

Hello everyone!!

As the homework today was to talk about what we want, I will to write one of the thing I like and is able to enjoy art in the city, as is go to see exhibitions, to see standup comedy, go to the theater or my favorite: Go to concerts.

Perhaps a lot of people have some sort of favorite music and just going to those concerts, I instead, I like to go just for the experience of being close to the artist, to hear very loud live music, spending time with friends or family and take advantage of knowing the city if this done somewhere I don't know.

Luckily I have many friends who like going to concert and love like my own music, so every time we had as amazing, but our favorites are if they are outdoors, in a park where we can make some kind of picnic and if they are free much better!!

In 2014 the Lollapalooza just fell on my birthday, which made  it that much more special, that day held in the morning with my parents and then  of this, with my brother we went to the festival, there we find my friends who also greeting me,  they gave me gifts bought or won at the festival, they sang in the middle of the park with more people (unknown people) and we were together all the time!!!

I think it's one of the best memories I've had!

Hello Everyone!!
Today I would talk about my long weekend,  it mightn't be the most active weekend but I think it was very well enjoyed.
To begin my workshop still operating as if we were in "Paro", so my group (we are 4 and doing a project together) we met several days a week to work, however,  this long weekend we don't join to work :D.
On Friday I went to the assembly of faculty, after that I went to the house of a friend from school to see some movies. Later in the evening I come my house to a "Tallarinata" with my family.
On Saturday  I received a very special visit to my home ( which I can't tell much), this visit made me think a lot and understand much better myself than I did before, I helped to unburden myself and I think it was the best part of my weekend.  After that (It took me all morning), I went for a walk with my  family and eat on the outskirts of Santiago, then go shopping (which did long ago).
For the game Chile v/s Argentina, we went out buy all things with my dad for the "previa" and with my family were having fun and eating very things.

Finally on Monday, with my brother painted some old guitars that were in the house, they were pretty good and was a nice way to recycle.

Hello Everyone!
Today I would write about the first CD I bought, although isn't the first but I bought this with the money I myself had saved, (anyway the CDS and music I listened before, isn't my preference now haha).
The album is called "Torches" and is the US group Foster The People, this is the first album of the group, an it is from her that become known. This album went on sale in 2011, just when I was in segundo medio and I loved it since the first song I hear called "Pumped Up Kicks" (song that came out in 2010), could not get her out of my head and didn't know what his real name was, until I heard on MTV, I discovered the band name and started listening to the other songs in Youtube and I liked a lot!!, after that I was showing to my  friends and decided then go to the "Feria del disco" to buy the CD, until the day I remember, I was listening the disc all the way with my dad in the car radio.
Torches album containing alternative rock, indie pop and little psychedelia, something different from what I liked earlier by the rhythms, melodies and choruses are quite strange, because the vast majority have  ironic lyrics, who the people understand much better to watch the videos and what surprises the most is that I love and still listen to today in stereo from my house, all of the songs in the CD.

Last year the band came to Lollapalooza and was at the front row of the stage as a true fan watching them, is by far one of my favorite bands.

Hello!!
Today I will tell you about one of my favorite places to hang out with my friends!, this is called Open Box (this restobar is found in several places, but which I would refer now is in Puente Alto, specifically in the Metro station Las Mercedes.
This is one of the best places on the south zone of Santiago to eat much and have fun with friends, It is indeed the favorite place of my group because it is very close to where we live (Cajón del Maipo- Pirque), and has many ways to  easily reach (Metro, Micro and Cars).
This became one of my favorite places, because when I was in my first year in University with my friends went to leave one of them to airport (he went to Canada exchange), after this, we missed out of the highway and we were giving many unnecessary laps in the center of Santiago that only caused hungry, loss gasoline, and we were all angry with each other, so we decided to stop to eating all  together, we saw this place and walked in, we liked because the attention was very good, we eat a lot of pizza and sushi and also had karaoke, after that, me and my friends were going almost every special days (birthdays, ends of semesters, long weekends) to eat, drink and meet again because, being all in the first year of university, we not see every day (like school).

Open box was the starting point to get together and then go to parties, I love this place and bring me good memories!!

Hello everyone!
Today I would write about one of my favorite beaches in Chile and I frequented go with my family, this beach is called Playa Blanca.
Playa Blanca is between Tongoy and Guanaqueros, very close to La Serena. I prefer this beach because when I was go to school I visited a lot, because I had many hobbies there, like swim in the beach, playing volleyball with other people who were visiting , would walk to the dunes, I bathed in pools and hot tubs, took sun and ate many things haha.

The last time I was there was in 2013 with my family, specifically in September 18 and had a great memories about this travel, the days were amazing and I took lots of pictures, we went to eat at restaurants to Serena and Tongoy, we swam in the sea and we relaxed too.
One of the things I remember most was that down the departments, was a "Criolla" party organized by neighbors who looked nothing like the 18 celebration haha, they wanted to do much more sophisticated, but that's not the idea of a real party, so me and my family took our car and we went to walk around one of the biggest "fondas" there in Chile, this  called the "fiesta of the pampilla " we never had visited, but I really enjoyed haha.

I hope to visit Playa Blanca again!.

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm going to write about a country I want to visit: Egypt.

Since I was a child I have been fascinated about Ancient Egypt!! Because this civilization have many achievements like monumental pyramids, temples, writing system, agriculture projects, and very interesting culture, however, what strikes me attention is their religion.
The Egypt religion was a complex system of polytheistic beliefs and rituals which were an integral part of ancient Egyptian society, it centered of the Egyptians interaction with many “gods” who were believed to be present in, and in control of the forces elements of nature. (Often gods and goddesses were represented as part human and part animal), and therefore its architecture includes the most famous structures because the building or temples projects were organized and funded by state for religious and commemorative purposes, but also to reinforce the power of pharaoh, for this each city had a temple built for the god of that city and was be a cosmic center by which men had communication with the gods.

If I travel to this country, I would like to go to Nile Valley, because it is reputed to be the world’s largest outdoor museum, and contains thousands of monuments places such Luxor and Aswan!!

Hello Fau bloggers:
Today I’would to talk about my favorite building, this is called “The Spiral” by Bjarke Ingels Group and the project is under construction.
“The Spiral” will be a new office tower, and it will be located on the northern end of the High Line at Hudson Boulevard Park in New York City, and climbing 306 meters, the tower's conceptual design is named after its defining feature - an "ascending ribbon of lively green spaces" that extend the High Line "to the sky," says Bjarke Ingels.

The spiral wraps around the tower, which becomes gradually slimmer towards the top. This create unique floor configurations that will cater to a diverse community of tenants making the building a lively place for businesses of different scales.
The first time I saw the building it was in a blog of conceptual designs, and I really liked, because combines the efficient layouts of the modern high-rise with the classic ziggurat silhouette of the premodern skyscraper, connected interior - exterior with a lively ribbon of atria and terrace, and offers sweeping views across Manhattan.
Another thing that caught my attention was the building will offer 2.87 million-square-feet of “connected and sustainable Class A”.

When the project is ready, I would to travel to New York and visit this amazing office tower!!

Hellos bloggers
Today I’ like to talk about my favorite piece of art, this is The Lovers by René Magritte, if you don’t know who is Rene, he was a famous Belgian surrealist artist and  the reason why I admire his work, is for depicting  ordinary objects in an unusual context and giving new meanings to the “familiar” things.

I saw the Magritte’s art when I study the psychoanalysis (study of the unconscious) with my class, and his work intrigues me to learn more about the pictures, (this is why The lovers as the paint I prefer), this oil from canvas was painting in 1928 in Paris, France and has many analyzes about the couple in this work, because their faces are covered, so when Magritte was 14 years old his mother committed suicide by drowning. He witnessed her body being fished from the water, and her wet nightgown wrapped around her face (as the same of the painting).
This is why the people speculated that this trauma inspired the paintings, but Magritte are disagree with such interpretations, because he denied any relation between his work and his mom death and he wrote:

“They evoke mystery and, indeed, when one sees one of my pictures, one asks oneself his simple question, what does it mean? It doesn’t mean anything, because mystery means nothing either, it is unknowable”.

It was amazing how a simple painting can arouse most complex meaning!!!! The viewer can be impacted by it or not depending of interpretation, for this reason Rene Magritte was a genius and The Lovers was one such paintings to be inspirational, controversial and provocative, that art intrigues and provokes thought.

Hello bloggers!

Today I would write about a one of my favorite’s song, the name is Do you wanna know, and is a single of British band, Arctic Monkeys, the band music is known to fall under the umbrella of indie rock.

This song was realized in 2013, when I was study in school, specifically when I staying in 4to Medio, and it’s bring me back memories about my friends,  because they really like this band and they makes funny videos for English class with this music, but we know this since 2010 approximately.

If you think I like this song by the lyrics, you are wrong haha, is too sentimental for me, but I really love it, because, I was the first single I listen of the album A.M and in this composition combines rock music with indie elements (like psychedelic music)  in the video, so,  In my first year in University (2014), Arctic Monkeys come to Chile, and it was the time I saw them band live, I remember that day I had to bring  a model of my final project of taller, but my teacher let me go to see Arctic Monkeys and was going with my best friend Cata, and really enjoy the concert!, and we were next to vocalist Alex Turner.

Today, I just read an article www.theguardian.com, about fashion, in this article the author was talking about the lessons of style in festival Coachella, which was realize last weekend, in California – USA, this is an annual music and arts festival and features many genres of music including rock, indie, hip hop, and electronic dance music, as well as art installations and sculptures.

The author said the lessons of style, we have learned are:
Bandanas: This accessory has been used as both on a practical level (it pulls back your hair), and seen in Victoria’s secret, Leo Di Caprio and Hailey Baldwin.

Chockers: Has already been on the catwalk at London fashion week and it feels like the new way to signal an art direction in a normal, smart-casual outfit.

Vintage tees: It still telegraphs an element of pop culture nous in the wearer but in fashion terms.
Dad Caps: As a cloak of invisibility (it covers up multiple hair crimes), a sun visor and, semantically, it suggests a streak of carefree and youthfulness.

1977- Bonnie Tyler is the 2016 fashion muse: Her style was part truck-stop country and western and part soft-focus reverie. Tyler’s outfits featured lots of fringed denim, cut suede and Daisy Duke shorts, which is essentially the sartorial raison d’etre of the Coachella crew.

I really like this article but I didn't use this lessons haha

Hello everyone!
Today I’d like to write about my favorite photo I took, so my photograph was taken in Sao Paulo-Brazil when I have 17 years old,  this picture is taken in a famous “rua” in the city, and although isn’t the best, it was the first that I took in this side (and I was taken with my cellphone haha).
This picture is very important to me, it’s me bring me back memories about the travel, but differently, because if you imagine Brazil, you think in a tropical forest, the Portuguese speaking, the ecological systems or the beautiful beaches, although you may not believe Sao Paulo is the capital of street art, (if you don’t know which is the street art, is a visual art created in public locations, usually use many colors and techniques).
In Sao Paulo, the artists which combines entrepreneurship with the revalidation of public spaces to provide aesthetic relief from the suffocating routing, and transforming gray walls into open museum.

In this image, I appreciate the unconventional situation haha, and I really like the different colors, the techniques (roller, paintbrushes, spray, fixed paper and the artist combine this with my favorite material – chalk), and this possibility of “design a wall” motivates me, to change the walls of my neighborhood or my city!

I just read an article in www.theguardian.com of the new movie “The jungle book”, because I really like the original movie haha, it brings back good memories when I was a little girl, in this time I was watch many movies of Disney with my brother, so I like all.

In this article, the autor said the new remake of the Walt Disney company is “great and possibly greatest masterpiece” and categorized as hyperreal digital animations meets old-fashioned storytelling in this faithful remake, which loses the songs but brings new, ingenious twist on the original, so I want to see this movie!
Hello!

Today I write about my favorite place in this city and this is Cajón del Maipo, located in the zone of Andean foothills of the Región Metropolitana, specifically in the south-east zone.

In this place are conjugated many elements such as mountains, rivers and trees, (very different from that happens in the center of Santiago) and this is the reason why I love this place, and it has been transformed in tourist point to many people of foreign countries.

In the Cajón del Maipo, the people can reencounter with the nature, breathe fresh air, see the flora and fauna traditional of Chile, eat the typical food or make picnic, keep calm in the thermal springs and performing many activities like adventure sports (rafting, bungee, canopy, trekking etc.), but, my favorite is ski and always spends my holidays (June- July) in this mountains, so this activity is been my favorite at this side because I usually go with my friends.

In this side I have nice memories, so I recommended you, visit and enjoy the Cajón del maipo!!

Hello everyone:
Today I going to write about my favorite architect Norman Foster, he have 80 years old (he was born in 1 June 1935) and is one of the famous architects of United Kingdom, not for nothing, in 1999 he was awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize (as the same of Nobel prize in Architecture), therefore the prominent Norman Foster still doing its job with him team - Foster + Partners.
What I like most of him architecture are the sophisticated designs, the structural construction and the green, sustainable energy ideas with technology includes in different projects (for example, in Hearst Tower Atrium, the tower’s rainwater is collected for us in systems like water sculpture, icefall etc.) as well, the another interesting point of this architect  has tried to transmit the design and the conceptualization beyond of the exterior, because he was characterized the interior with the most ambitious constructions.

If you wonder what works they are known of Foster? Is simple, the London Millennium Tower stands out among every buildings there, and the Millau Viaduct as the highest bridge tower in the world.

This is my favorite architect and the phrase that most caught my attencion is:
"Architecture can communicate memory, but it can also communicate values and a sense of place."
